76. Audit of accounts of a relevant authority

(1)

A relevant authority shall cause proper books of accounts to be kept of its assets and liabilities, income and expenditure and all other transactions of such relevant au-thority.

(2)

The financial year of a relevant authority shall be the calendar year.

(3)

The provisions of Article 154 of the Constitution shall apply to and in regard to the audit of accounts of a relevant authority.

(4)

The provisions of Part II of the Finance Act, No. 38 of 1971, shall mutatis mutandis apply to and respect of the financial control and accounts of a relevant authority.
