139. Reference to an Assistant Superintendent of Police, etc.

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

For the purposes of this Act, every reference under any of the other law referred to in this Act –

(a)

to an Assistant Superintendent of Police shall be construed as a reference to an authorized officer specially authorized by the Commission; and

(b)

to a police officer shall be construed as a reference to an authorized officer of the Commission.
