Chapter II · Appointment of Service Providers

21. Cadre and firearms to be used by the Service Provider to be approved by the Director General

A Service Provider providing and maintaining an Aviation Security Service shall be required to obtain a permit from the Director General pertaining to the number of employees to be employed by such Service Provider and the nature, type and quantity of firearms and ammunition to be used in the provision of such service.

(2)

The Director General shall, prior to the issue of a permit under subsection (1), obtain the approval for the same from the Secretary to the Ministry of the Minister in charge of the subject of Defence and a permit so issued shall be subject to any requirements pertaining to the safety of civil aviaton activities, that are imposed by the Director General.
