16. Denial of possession of any goods for purposes of trade or the sale of such goods subject to any condition to be an offence

No trader who has in his possession or custody or under his control any goods for purpose of trade within Sri

Lanka, shall —

(a)

deny the possession of such goods ; or

(b)

offer such goods for sale subject to a condition requiring the purchase of any other goods or the making of any payment in respect of any service or to any other condition, other than the condition that the buyer shall pay the price of such goods forthwith.
