70. Protection for action taken under this Act

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

No civil or criminal proceedings shall be instituted against any member, Director-General, officer, or servant of the Authority or any member of the staff, for any act which in good faith is done or purported to be done by him under this Act or on the directions of the Authority or the Board as the case may be if he proves that he acted in good faith and exercised all due diligence, reasonable care and skill.
