76. Regulations

(1)

The Minister may make regulations in respect of any other matter which is required by this Act to be prescribed or in respect of which regulations are authorized or required to be made.

(2)

Without prejudice to the generality of the powers conferred by subsection (1), regulations may be made in respect of any or all of the following matters: -

(a)

suitability of an applicant to engage in gambling;

(b)

fees to be charged for processing the application;

(c)

types of licenses;

(d)

class licence for lower-risk gambling services and conditions applicable to a class licensee;

(e)

criteria for the suitability of any place or premises to be a gambling venue and any ancillary building and for the services provided in connection with gambling;

(f)

restrictions on advertising gambling;

(g)

criteria for the use of gambling machines and other related matters; or

(h)

validity of gambling machines approval, conditions of gambling machines, restrictions on the transfer of gambling machines and corrective action needed for gambling machines.

(3)

Every regulation made by the Minister shall be published in the Gazette and shall come into operation on the date of such publication or on such later date as may be specified in the regulation.

(4)

Every regulation made by the Minister shall, within three months after its publication in the Gazette, be brought before Parliament for approval.

(5)

Any such regulation that is not so approved shall be deemed to be rescinded as from the date of disapproval but without prejudice to anything duly done thereunder.

(6)

Notification of the date on which a regulation is deemed to be rescinded shall be published in the Gazette.
