24. Amendment of section 23BB of the principal enactment

Section 23BB of the principal enactment is hereby amended by the insertion immediately after subsection (3)

thereof, of the following subsection:-

“(3A) A project approving agency shall, when considering the grant of approval for an initial environmental examination report or an environmental impact assessment report submitted to it, as the case may be, examine the degree of compliance with the standards and criteria prescribed under section 32 and

Part IVB of this Act.”.
