36. Insertion of new section 27a in the principal enactment

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

The following new section is hereby inserted immediately after section 27 of the principal enactment and shall have effect as section 27A of that enactment:-

27A. All offences under Part IVB of this

Act, shall be deemed to be cognizable offences within the meaning and for the purposes of, the Code of Criminal Procedure Act, No. 15 of 1979.”.
