35. Replacement of section 27 of the principal enactment

Section 27 of the principal enactment is hereby repealed and the following substituted therefor:-

27. All members, officers and employees of the Authority shall be deemed to be –

(a)

public servants within the meaning of, and for the purposes of the Penal

Code (Chapter 19); and

“All members, officers and employees of the Authority deemed to be public servants

(b)

public servants within the meaning of section 136 of the Code of

Criminal Procedure Act, No. 15 of 1979 for the purpose of instituting proceedings in respect of offences under this Act.”.
