118. Immunity from prejudgment attachment

No attachment or execution shall be issued against the Central Bank or its property, including gold, special drawing rights, currency, credits, deposits or securities, and any proceeds thereof, before the issuance of a final judgment by any court of law established in Sri Lanka.

The Central Bank may, at its discretion, waive the protection either in whole or in part, explicitly and in writing, except with respect to its gold and the special drawing rights.
