Part IV · Moneylenders

25. Conditions of the licence

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

A licence issued under section 23 or renewed under section 24 shall–

(a)

be subject to such conditions and requirements as specified in the licence;

(b)

be subject to the payment of an annual licence fee as determined by the Authority;

(c)

be valid for a period of one year;

(d)

specify the date of expiry; and

(e)

be non transferable.
