29. Voluntary cancellation of a licence

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

(1)

A moneylender may request from the Authority, at any time, to cancel the licence issued to him.

(2)

The Authority shall consider such request and, if there is no reason to refuse the request of such moneylender, cancel such licence.
