29. Members of the Commission, etc. deemed to be public servants

(1)

The members of the Commission, the

Director-General and officers and employees of the

Commission and any other person whose services are retained under section 27 shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of the Penal Code (Chapter 19) and every investigation conducted under this Act shall be deemed to be a judicial proceeding within the meaning of the

Penal Code (Chapter 19).

(2)

The Director-General and every officer of the

Commission shall be deemed to be peace officers within the meaning of the Code of Criminal Procedure Act, No. 15 of 1979.
