21. Removal of the Director-General

The President may, in consultation with the

Commission, on any one or more grounds for disqualificaion set out in subsection (2) of section 19 or where the conduct of the Director-General negatively impacts on the exercise of the powers and functions of the Commission and after giving the Director-General an opportunity to be heard in person or by a duly appointed representative, remove him from office, subject to the approval of the Constitutional Council.
