51. Exchange of currency

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Upon a request made and subject to such conditions as may be specified by rules, the Central Bank shall exchange, without charge or commission, currency notes and coins issued by the Central Bank.
