73. Proof of grant of a licence

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

In any prosecution of any person for contravention of subsection (1) of section 20 and subsection (1) of section 32

of this Act, the burden of proving that such person has been granted a licence to carry on the moneylending business or the microfinance business shall lie on such person.
