Part XII · General

74. Certified copies to be accepted as evidence of originals

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

Any copy of a document maintained by the Authority under this Act, certified by the Director-General to be a true copy of such document, shall be admissible in any court of law as evidence of the original of such document.
