Part VIII

162. Intent

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

A person is not guilty of an offence under this Part unless it is proven that, at the time of the conduct constituting the offence, the person had intent —

Rescue, Rehabilitation and Insolvency

(a)

to defraud;

(b)

to deceive;

(c)

to conceal the state of any such conduct; or

(d)

to defeat the law.
