296. Role of liquidator

Subject to section 337 a liquidator of a company in liquidation has the following objective –

(a)

to exercise control over the property of the company;

(b)

to protect the property of the company;

(c)

to realise property of the company; and

(d)

to distribute –

Rescue, Rehabilitation and Insolvency

(i)

the proceeds of realisation of property of the company; and

(ii)

where applicable, property of the company, subject to the applicable provisions of this Act.
