195. Documents in administration to refer to the change of name

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

(1)

Where a company in administration has changed its name less than six months before the commencement of the administration, the administrator shall ensure that –

(a)

every document issued or signed by or on behalf of the company or the administrator shall include its former name; and

(b)

if the company has one or more websites, each page of each website shall include its former name.

(2)

A failure to comply with subsection (1) shall not affect the validity of –

(a)

a person’s appointment as administrator; or

(b)

any document.

(3)

Every person who fails to comply with subsection (1)

commits an offence.
