266. Orders protecting business or property

Official English translation. Where it differs from the Sinhala or Tamil text, the Act itself says which text prevails.

The court may, in making an order that removes or has the effect of removing an administrator or deed administrator from office, make such orders as necessary –

(a)

for preserving the business or property of the company; and

(b)

for that purpose, requiring the person removed from office –

(i)

to deliver to such person as may be specified in the order such documents in the possession or custody or under the control of the administrator or deed administrator, as the case may be, as may be specified in the order; and

(ii)

to take such other action as may be necessary.
