35. Provisions which apply to companies limited by guarantee

The provisions contained in the list of sections of this Act specified in the Third Schedule hereto, shall not apply to and in respect of a company limited by guarantee.
The provisions of this Act other than the sections referred to in subsection (1), shall apply to a company limited by guarantee with all necessary modifications, as if—
the company were a limited company ;
references to shareholders were references to members of the company ;
each member held one share in the company ; and
references to the share register were references to the register of members.
